Extrusion line and drums of finished cable inside the Oswal Cables plant

Manufacturing

Production, testing and traceability in one system

Our plants combine conductor and cable production with in-house testing so that specification, process control and inspection remain connected from rod to despatch.

The journey

Five chapters, one continuous line

Chapter 01 — Machinery

Wire drawing and stranding lines

Aluminium and copper rod, compounds and armouring material are verified against specification on receipt, then drawn and stranded to the required size, class and lay ratio.

Control
Incoming inspection

Chapter 02 — Extrusion

Insulation, sheathing and armouring

XLPE and PVC extrusion runs under controlled temperature, thickness and eccentricity, followed by steel strip or wire armouring, laying up and inner sheath application as specified.

Chapter 03 — Testing

Electrical, mechanical and dimensional testing

Every stage is checked against recorded process parameters. Type, routine and acceptance tests are carried out in-house, with customer and third-party inspection welcomed.

Chapter 04 — Traceability

Batch identity from rod to drum

Length verification, sealing, marking and documentation take place before despatch, with drum-level records linking material, process and test data.

Chapter 05 — Workforce

Skilled hands behind the specification

Trained operators, technicians and engineers carry each length through drawing, extrusion, testing and despatch, keeping process knowledge inside the plant.

Facilities

Integrated cable and conductor production

Cable manufacturing, conductor manufacturing and LV/MV facilities operate as one connected chain rather than isolated units.

Testing infrastructure

Tested in-house, inspectable by you

Type, routine and acceptance tests are performed in our laboratories, with customer and third-party inspection welcomed.
